Be the Change was started by my self and my school's drug advisor. We were talking about our club and about so many kids dropping out from high school. We decided that this was a growing issue and we wanted to do something to change this. There was really nothing to be done. We could stary after school and help those kids struggling, but they would never come for help. So, we decided to have free food, that usually triggers high school student's attention. So, that was what we were going to do. We started a club for kids to tutor others and after school, tutors get volunteer hours and everyone gets free food. We got the money for food from local companies that support our program. We hope to expand this program in the future and have raffles and field trips to have more kids joining. These kids have been improving and that is why we need this grant to make our program bigger and better.
