Our club, CAUSE FOR CONCERN, took quite a lot of determination to create as it it is a club led solely by students. Needless to say, high school students tend to lag a little here & there; hence the extra sweat on our brow. :) After going out and recruiting people I knew would be interested in bringing change to our community and distributing posters/flyers with meeting dates, CFC was set in stone.
We've made quite the impact in our school and community. Through tree planting, feeding the homeless, casting a ride-your-bike-to-school-weeks, cleaning up beaches and more, we have gotten a broad group of diverse people to help out and make changes within our community. With the documentary screenings we held at school, we educated a lot of people who were oblivious to problems such as child slavery, sweatshops and red light districts. That itself is impacting because the more people that are aware of the hush-hush going on in the world are people who will take that knowledge and spread it further into our community.
