The Problem

The local ARC of Vermilion provides educational and job training opportunities for clients with mental and/or physical disabilities. The ARC clients recycle items to learn job skills and earn a small paycheck. They recycle Mardi Gras beads and throws and then resell them the following carnival season. They are in need of Mardi Gras beads and throws to recycle.

Plan of Action

I developed a flier promoting the project and hung it in the local schools and businesses. I also spoke to several groups at both the high school and middle schools in my hometown. I put out information on the drive on social media.
