The Problem

Every day, children are admitted to the hospital because they have developed a form of cancer. The families of these children struggle to find a way to maintain their daily lives and, at the same time, devote their time to their ill child.

Plan of Action

My best friend, Blair Anderson, battled Leukemia for nearly two years. Shortly after her death, her parents Tom and Kim Anderson decided they wanted to help out other families with ill children. They wanted to help make the journey as painless and possible. Blair's friends and family came together to create "Blair's Tree of Hope" about a year and a half ago now. Through various fundraisers including our "Blair Bracelets," annual garage sale, and annual kickball tournament. This money is spent on providing services. The services vary from family to family but the most common at this time are creating healthy meals and giving gas cards to the families.
