The Problem

The plan of action we had was to benefit the students of our school and the breast cancer society. As students, we were trying to help raise money for the breast cancer foundation to find a cure for breast cancer. The organizers saw this opportunity of giving the ladies of our high school a dress down day and they would pay $2 and all the money would be sent to the breast cancer society. We believe that our contribution was not thousands of dollars but it was something that would help the research to continue.

Plan of Action

During this activity, there was a lot of organizing to be done. With myself and a teacher mainly involved, we made sure we had some representatives from each grade to help us collect money and to properly organize the names of the students who paid. We made sure that we all registered our names to walk in the central park walk. The impact I tried to make upon the future generation of seniors and underclassmen was to inform them that doing something good can benefit for themselves and others. Some students just contributed money without wanting a dress down, I wanted students to know that doing something good is worth a lot.
