Bright Futures

The Problem
Many young teenage parents feel they do not have bright futures because of their sudden difficulties. I think part of this is because they are completely unaware of the resources they have access to or where to find them. Because they feel hopeless, they never access these resources and therefore end up homeless, high school drop outs, or never reach their full potential. This creates an endless cycle of non-success that is continued by their children.
Plan of Action
I would like to make a website that would become a resource for teen parents, or single parents. They could go there and not only find links to websites, but step by step assistance on how to go about finding housing, finding funds for school, and finding help with child care. It would be user friendly and have an extensive Q and A where they would find answers to many questions or ask a question and receive an answer from a professional. I would start it in Oregon, with the hope of fellow volunteers adding information from their own state, and helping teen parents on a national level.
