The Problem

Our team is working on the problem of how to make qualitative student observations which teachers collect throughout the day meaningful and actionable. We are building a web application that helps teachers use qualitative notes in an actionable way, decreasing teacher stress, and increasing their ability to provide an individualized education for every child.

Plan of Action

In addition to full time jobs as a teacher (Molly) and product designer (Marco), we've been working on BrightLoop since April 2012. In that time we've incorporated as a business, hired at various points in time a total of 8 interns, interviewed teachers and specialists who would benefit from a tool like ours, and worked with both advisors and software development contractors to help make this product a reality. Our next step includes a goal of launching a product teachers can use by Fall 2013!
