According to the United states department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, In March 2009, non farm payroll employment decreased in 48 states. The largest over-the-month employment decrease occurred in California (-62,100),followed by Florida (-51,900), Texas (-47,100), North Carolina (-41,300), Illinois (-39,600), and Ohio(-37,500). North Carolina experienced the largest over-the-month percentage decrease in employment (-1.0 percent). There are programs that help address joblessness in North Carolina, however virtually no programs designed to help the unemployed professionals of the entertainment industry meaning: musicians, makeup artists, photographers, models and makeup artists. In order to get a job in this industry one must have An up to date portfolio to prove ones capability. This portfolio is necessary and fundamental to getting any type of paid job in this industry. The cost for obtaining a professional portfolio can go from 200 to 2000 depending on the quality of the portfolio because of the country‘s current economic crisis these costs are . The Brockenton Entertainment Scholarship Fund Seeks to address the needs of unemployed entertainment industry professionals, especially but not limited to the youth in the Charlotte North Carolina area by providing learning internships where they can practice their craft, a complete professional portfolio which they can present to potential employers, and a medium of exposure to help speed up their employment process.

My Name Is Brittany Brockenton. I am the executive producer of Charlotte Take The Runway Season One, A Red White And Blue Affair. Our reality internet show created by the Non Profit Organization Brockenton Entertainment Scholarship Fund Is "for the youth by the youth" and is dedicated to providing a medium through which undiscovered talent within charlotte's entertainment industry can be exposed. We create photo shoots to provide experience, and portfolios to aspiring models, make up artists, photographers, stylists, graphic artists, designers, and musicians. Our Purpose is to create more exposure opportunities,job training, and recources here in the city of Charlotte North Carolina , in order to keep our Entertainment Industry Professionals, here instead of moving to a bigger city, and to help stimulate our economy by providing the tools needed for entertainment professionals to be considered for work. This first season of our show was called "A Red White And Blue Affair" because our show finale was held on July 4th, the week of our country's Independence day.
the plan of action:
Our organization is dedicated to improving the quality of our community. During this first season CTTR has completed over 4,000 portfolio pictures, and provided full portfolios for over 20 Entertainment Industry Professionals by organizing a group of over 30 Voluntees and sponsors! We are also dedicated to promoting the need for community service and involvement here in the city of charlotte, by encouraging all participants in the program to donate at least one can of food to Loaves and Fishes, a local food bank in Charlotte. Our goal for the next season of the show is to expand our outreach to other cities in North Carolina, and to provide portfolios for at least 40 profesionals!
