Brookville Green Team
the problem:
I'm trying to make my school and community greener and cleaner by picking up litter, starting a recycling center in my school, and planting trees.

40why it's important:
This project is important to me, because I have realized that my great grandchildren may never be able to see the beautiful world we live in. They may never see the way the fog rolls in over the beautiful Blur Ridge Mountains, or see the deer running through their back yard. I want my future family to be able to love the nature surrounding them just like I do.
the plan of action:
My green team at school has been picking up trash, started a recycling center in our school, and we will be educating our community on what it means to keep our world healthy. The students in our school recycle about 80 pounds of paper a week and about 20 pounds of plastic a week. We clean up after all of our sporting events, and we make sure our school is taking the necessary steps to keep it green.
how you can get involved:
Others can help by coming out to our community clean ups and helping us pick up litter and take out the recycling. Others could also help us by donating trees to the club so we can plant them in needy areas.
