The Problem

The children left behind when dad or mom is deplyed can be devasted. I am trying to raise $3000.00 to complete the building of 150 Build-A-Bear soilder bears with voice boxes. The voice boxes have thier parents voice with a message of love. The box is then fited into a bear and dilivered to that child. The child now has part of that parent with them always.

Plan of Action

I started off talking to the local recruiter and the Air national guard unit. after getting an idea of about 150 children affected by the lose of a parent. I went to Build-a-Bear, my family and the girl scouts in my local troop. I have the bears, the volunteers, the boxes will be the next step.($3000.00) that's at a reduced cost. I have sold cookies, lemonade and other goods, I have requested extra work hours to make money for the project. After the boxes are bought, then they are recorded with the voices of the different parents. This is done through the guard unit and here state side with a special 1800 number the soilder calls. Then the boxes are taged by name and matched to the child, built and then I will diliver the bears. Thier wilol be a website dedicated to the families and sponsors so they can see the progress and the affect and how it brings the families together with community.
