The Problem

Every morning, millions of children around the world wake up with an insatiable desire to learn. A desire so strong that they walk miles to get to a school...and when that's not possible they crowd into a one-room "shack" and struggle to focus amidst hundreds of their peers...and when even that's not possible they gather under a tree and scribble their lessons in the dirt... But should they have to? As long as there are children in our world with a desire to learn and no place to do so; we will continue Building Tomorrow. We hope you will, too.

Plan of Action

Sit for Good is Building Tomorrow's K-12 service learning program where students and classrooms across the US experience what it might be like to be a child in sub-Saharan Africa in a school with no pencils, no paper, and even no chairs. Throughout the event, students can participate in classroom activities, discussions and even plan fundraisers to support the construction of classroom space for their peers in sub-Saharan Africa.
