Business Recycling in Valdosta

the problem:
I recently did a survey of some bars and pubs in the area. Only 2 out of the 20 I called said they recycled the glass used from bottled beer and liquor.

Recycling is important because it saves energy, resources, landfill space and the environment.
the plan of action:
I want to get at least 5 more businesses in Valdosta to recycle. I want to contact the city manager and see what steps businesses have to take to begin a recycling program and then educate business owners on how to begin a program.
how you can get involved:
Others can help by petitioning local officials to begin implementing "green taxes" and by asking local bars to recycle.
