The Problem

I am trying to educate new mothers about the inequities in maternal health care abroad through encouraging them to donate to women internationally by recycling their maternity supplies. I want women to donate their baby blankets, clothes, diapers, and other reusable supplies.

Plan of Action

By making new mothers who deliver at Mount Sinai (where I'm employed) more aware of the disparities in maternal care, I hope to raise awareness for our organization Saving Mothers. I plan to send buttons with inspiring messages (ie. No woman should die giving life), my organization's brochure and information about recycling extra supplies to women when they register for maternity care at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. I want to target this population because they will soon experience childbirth and therefore can better understand the needs of women during this sentinel time in their lives.
