The Problem

Cakes for a Cause, NFP is a not for profit organization founded by teens in the Chicago Suburbs to help increase the quality of life to those struggling with poverty. We believe that celebrations, like birthdays and anniversaries, are important moments in one's life and that financial problems should not get in the way of celebrating special milestones. Therefore, we aim to provide cakes for special occasions to those in need of financial assistance.

Plan of Action

Cakes for a Cause, NFP has a youth volunteer program where youth can participate. Youth decorate the cakes that are donated to those in need of financial assistance. They also learn leadership skills. Also, Cakes for a Cause, NFP is focusing on raising money to purchase a location that would allow the organization to offer more opportunities to local youth to volunteer and be able to provide more cakes.
