Caldwell County Animal Shelter Photography
the problem:
The problem I am trying to solve is animal abuse and abandonment.

15why it's important:
Preventing animal abuse and abandonment is important to me because I feel as though animals should be treated like another human friend. Animals should be treated with loyalty, respect, care, love, and passion.
the plan of action:
The organization that I volunteer for is the Caldwell County Animal Rescue in Princeton, KY. My duties include taking photographs of the adoptable animals, occasionally walking the dogs, and running the Petfinder website. I believe that, by taking good photographs of the animals, people can get a better view of the animal they would like to purchase. I also write descriptions about the animals on the Petfinders Website, and I am responsible for choosing two pets to be featured in Princeton, KY's local newspaper.
how you can get involved:
Others can help by going to their local Animal Rescue/Shelter and lending a hand. It doesn't have to be all day long, but try to walk a few dogs, brush a few cat, take a few good photographs, or help clean out the animals' cages.

This is an awesome project! Have you looked into Do Something's new ASPCA Animal Action grants? It's for young leaders like you who are promoting animal welfare and action ideas to help animals. The deadline is April 30th--check it out at http://www.dosomething.org/grants/aspca
Good luck!
I maintain the website KY_CENTRAL http://www.kycentral.org/
I was updating the SHELTERS page on the website and discovered this site and the fact that there is a Caldwell County Animal Rescue. Could you provide me with some information about your organization and the Caldwell County Animal Shelter?
Thank you!
