The Problem

The inspiration for Cammie's Path came from an abandoned goat that was found living in a wooded area behind some homes. This goat did not have proper shelter or food and was in danger of being attacked by many wild animals. The number one killer of goats are dogs. Without the proper inclosure this goat was in extreme danger. Also, goats are very curious animals and love to eat many trees and flowers that people plant in their yards. This makes stray goats a nuisance to many homeowners. Cammie's Path was able to take this goat and provide her with a safe home filled with adequate food and water and the appropriate shelter. The number of unwanted farm animals is at an all time high. Unfortunately, most of these animals are killed. Cammie's Path hopes to be able to take in a large number of these animals and give them a lifelong home.

Why It's Important

Cammie's Path is an ongoing project that is dedicated to the welfare of abandoned, injured, and unwanted farm animals. This program initially started with goats, but now includes sheep, rabbits, and chickens too. The goal of Cammie's Path is to give the animals a life long home.

The Plan Of Action

Cammie's Path simply takes in as many animals that it is able to support that are in need of a lifelong home. In order to do this two acres of land was converted into a pasture and a small barn was built. Cammie's Path has already taken in thirteen stray goats. This has impacted all of the individuals who have called us to take a goat, myself, and more importantly the animals that we have adopted.

How Can Others Get Involved?

If anyone is interested in helping the animals at Cammie's Path they can visit our website and donate any amount of money. This money will help us buy food, hay, bedding, vaccines, and medications for the animals that we currently have.
