The Problem

We are aiming to solve the problem of our citizens not taking the intiative to recycle their plastic and metal cans. We have decided if we offer an easy alternative such as local bins and a weekly pick up that they are sure is going to a good cause we might be making a difference in our community and promoting a positive message to others.

Plan of Action

My plan of action is to place bins around my community with a logo and information number and also collect cans at local events with a staff of volunteers. During this event in particular we are going to attend the races at the Michigan International Speedway and collect cans all three days of the race. 70% of the proceeds will be donated to a charity to be determined and the remaining 30% will go to costs and upkeep.
