the problem:
"Cards for Kids" is a project in which handmade and painted cards are sent to children and youth around the world facing poverty, homelessness, or a difficult situation. This global project was founded in November 2009 by Haley, a student. We currently have lots of cards that have been accumulated over the past few months, however, due to the lack of funds we are not able to ship many of these cards to kids in-need around the world. Please help CFK by providing a monetary donation to help ease the expensive costs of shipping cards.

It is important to be able to help improve a child's life if they may be struggling. Cards for Kids' inspirational cards truly make a positive impact in the life of a child or teen by lifting their spirits. The CFK cards bring hope, love, and strength.
the plan of action:
Since the project began in 2009, over 14,000 handmade and painted cards have been made by volunteers from around the world. The cards are sent to kids and teens affiliated with various organizations, shelters, and hospitals such as Children's Hospital Boston, To Write Love on Her Arm (TWLOHA), Hearts in Unity (Tanzania, Africa), An Orphan's Bright Star (Ukraine, Eastern Europe), Safe Passage (Guatemala, Central America), CRE Centre (Kenya, Africa), and Starlight Children's Foundation (Australia), among many other places. However, we need YOUR help to be able to continue to send out cards. Because of the lack of monetary donations, we have not been able to ship many cards to our newest partnership organizations, who are waiting patiently for their cards. If you would like to donate to Cards for Kids, please e-mail CFKproject@gmail.com. All monetary donations are used to cover the expensive costs of shipping cards out around the world.

Because of the active participation of volunteers this year, we have accumulated thousands of cards that still need to be sent out to our partnership organizations, shelters, and hospitals around the world. However, due to a lack of funds, we have been unable to ship a portion of these cards. We would like to send out our current cards before collecting more.
