Care packages for soldiers

the problem:

Many soldier serving our country in Afghanistan and Iraq do not receive any mail or packages from home. Our group has partnered with anysoldier.com to find soldiers who would like cards and letters. We have collected items, made cards and crafts and sent them to soldiers. We hope to boost morale and let them know they are thought of.

project updates:

10/28/2009

We have sent a total of 10 boxes to soldiers! Our most recent boxes have Thanksgiving cards and pictures in them as well as candy, soup, lotions and books! We hope we bring a smile to the face of the soldiers!

10/22/2009

Today we made paper turkeys to put in our November packages to soldiers.

10/14/2009

We have collected blankets, candy, socks and some first aid items. They have also made cards for soldiers. We will make a Halloween craft this week and then send some boxes off to the soldiers. Wish them well and keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Comments
