Casa Verde

Casa Verde also offers individualized custom programs to both schools and students looking for a hand-on experience abroad. Programs may range from one week to multiple months, and can provide transferable college credit through Seattle Central Community College. Additionally, we hope to attract educators from all fields, who are looking for the facilities to present varying subjects in a curricular rubric supporting experiential lesson plans and global and sustainable perspectives.We are committed to offer programming for youth from all backgrounds & we have tons of ideas to help you fundraise in your own community. Casa Verde’s Student Center in Nicaragua is being built using sustainable materials and indigenous practices to the furthest extent possible. This supports not only a healthy and engaged lifestyle at Casa Verde, but all infrastructure and buildings will be used as a living educational tools. The facility itself will be a model to demonstrate how to replicate these practices and give students hands on experience with green and alternative systems. Casa Verde will also serve as a local community center in El Limon. Our participants research, design and implement community-inspired sustainable development projects, either as independent programs or as a capstone for many of the programs we will provide. We hope to extend the reach of our success and the value of education to the local community through increasing infrastructure, training programs, and entrepreneurial job development.
