The Problem

We were trying to help people have a livable space, the house in which this family was living (which is the girl's mother's house)was made of packing crates, plywood and cardboard boxes. The inhabitants of the house one older woman, two teens, two children and three babies, making a total of eight people crammed into a space no bigger than a car-port.

Plan of Action

Well, it all started with a flyer handed to me by my RE director, she asked if I wanted to go, I was all into it. So, I started to raise money through people in my church (I was the only one in my youth group) by sneaking up to their houses when they weren't there and littering their yards with horrible pink flamingos, and in order to get them removed they had to put me to work and donate an amount of their choosing to my cause after the work was done. After the money was raised, the next step was the longest day of my life on the Greyhound to Denver, Colorado. Spent the night there, and the next day into the 15 seater van, and off to Mexico we went. When there we met up with John, who was to instruct us in the ways of house building. We all worked hard and accomplished what we set out to do.
