CBS Early Morning Show Food Drive

The amount of products in food banks across America are at an all time low because of high costs for shipping and a weakening economy. Because of this shortage, it is important for citizens to take a role in replenishing the supply in their local food banks.

We brought food to the food drive which was then donated to local food banks in New York City. This also helped to gain media attention for the food bank crisis.
the plan of action:
This project took a lot of planning on my part. My club was invited to go into New York City during the school week to be a part of the taping of the CBS Early Morning Show. A segment was being taped highlighting the food drive that CBS had been putting on. GA's Do Something Club brought food donated by our members into the city, promoting an end to hunger and Do Something.
