The Problem

Music plays an important role in advancing causes. Tim Janis performs to support music in education, cancer research, and to help combat AIDS in Africa. Now he's helping give teens the chance to take the stage and use music to advance their cause.

Why It's Important

"Celebrate America" is a program that provides a thrilling opportunity for students to showcase their talents in support of their local public television station. This positive portrayal of America's youth links public television directly to the support of education.

The Plan Of Action

"Celebrate America" is being broadcast on PBS stations in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Michigan. Young people across the nation will have the chance to celebrate their musical talent and their community action by taking part in these PBS specials.

How Can Others Get Involved?

Apply for a Key Change Grant and use music to help YOUR cause. www.dosomething.org/keychange Check out Tim Janis's website or PBS stations to find out when these specials air and be inspired!
