The CCTM Program combines character and music. We start our program by playing a few cadences, then we talk about a few of the pillars of character. Then we play some more, talk some more, and throughout the program we invlove the audience as well. We use the beat of We Will Rock You with the audience, and we say The Character Counts Pledge as a rap. We intend to make up raps about character, on the spot, or prepared raps, if asked to do so. We would like to start involving skits, and audience involvement improvization. This program is directed towards students, but can be used towards other groups as well.
Each school year, the administration picks out a theme for the year. This year's theme is Walk the Talk. The theme is picked based on the format and the presentation of the theme. There is usually a book that goes along with the theme too. We hope to make a drastic improvement in the Program within the next few years, that hopefully one year, CCTM could be the theme.
We want CCTM to expand and become an orgarization. This will allow other music groups to participate in the CCTM program.I want this program to receive recognition at the state and national level, hopefully receiving the chance to present at Teacher's Conventions, Music Conferences, and other gatherings. Everything a person does should be done by CCTM.
