Chicago Walk for PKD Goal is $225,000 for 2007

The Problem

The PKD (polycystic kidney disease) Foundation is looking for dedicated volunteers to help in the planning and execution of local Walk for PKD events. We are searching for highly motivated and responsible people (of all ages) with the ability to coordinate the Chicago Walk for PKD fundraising event (on Sept. 15, 2007 at Busse Woods Forest Preserve Grove #6 in Elk Grove Village, IL)for a national non-profit foundation. Event planning experience would be excellent preparation for this volunteer job, although not required. Responsibilities include: volunteer recruitment & leadership, day of event execution, and coordination of walk committee volunteers working on securing local sponsorship, media relations and other walk publicity. This is the perfect resume builder for students and/or professionals or those simply wishing to help promote the mission of the PKD Foundation. For more information on polycystic kidney disease, visit www.pkdcure.org. Contact our Chicago Walk Coordinator at 800-PKDCURE or email ChicagoWalk@pkdcure.org for more information. A cure is our finish line!
