The Student Governement Organization participates yearly in the christmas Mother Food Drive to provide food for needy families within chesterfield County.

75why it's important:
It is important for the students to realize that giving to others is something that they can do on a small scale which helps and benefits people within their community. It also helps them to see volunteering/community service is an important aspect of their middle school education.
the plan of action:
Student representatives will be promoting the food collection within their first period classes. We collected enough food items to provide meals to 3500 families in the Richmond Area.
