The Problem

Lack of opportunities for youth to participate in positive, enriching programs focusing on art and physical well being.

Plan of Action

Based in Davenport, Florida CHRYSALIS Winterguard is forming in 2009 to offer this unique opportunity to teens and young adults ages 14 to 23 in the Central Florida and the I-4 Corridors areas of Florida. CHRYSALIS is being formed by a group of experienced leaders, all of whom have worked with a number of Winterguard, Color Guard and Drum Corps in the past. Its mission is to bring the Sport of the Arts to youth at a crucial time when arts budgets are being drastically cut from the school systems.
