The Problem

My project is designed to bring together members of the community along with members of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in an effort to improve the safety and efficiency of how the church building is used. This will be accomplished by Renovating and restoring an unused room located in the back of the sanctuary. This small room will be used for the safe keeping of hand bells and other musical equipment which currently do not have a secure space to be stored.

Plan of Action

The music storage space in which the bells will be placed was gutted out, cleaned, sealed for any moisture. A small wall was built under the steps to square off space. It was then be insulated, waterproof drywall was put up, and a wood floor was then laid down. The entire room was then be sanded down, mudded, primed, and painted white. There are two doors, one leading into the room and another into the storage space, which were also painted, re-hung, and then secured with a lock and bolt.
