The Problem

The problem my class and I are trying to solve its the fact East Los Angeles is not a City. East Los Los Angeles is an undocumented "island" surrounded by the Cities of Commerce,montebello, Los Angeles, and monterey Park.With out any representation of being a city, East Los angeles is slowly being anexed into the surrounding Cities(example: East Los Angeles college is now apart of Monterey Park).Without any kinda of city coucil or city control the Los Angeles county has the power over East Los Angeles' decesions.

Plan of Action

The project of making East Los Angelges a city is an ongiong process that me and my classmates have been working hard on. My class did a thesis project on the subject of East Los Angeles not beeing a city and how it would change for the great good if it were a city.We presented this thesis project in front of the whole school to get the word out about City Hood for East Los Angeles. A few student from my class have decided to create a youth board for cityhood for East Los Angeles. We are organizing fundraisers and meeting to raise money for East Los Angeles. I believe me and my classmate have helped this program very much and most of us are continuing on work hard twards the goal of East Los Angeles beeing a city.
