the problem:
We currently don't have up to date technology in most of our classrooms. I would like to raise money to buy a Smartboard that can be used almost daily in the music classroom.

This is important to me because music programs are being cut all over the country. If I as a teacher can keep up to date with the current technology in the world, then perhaps I can keep my students interested in music.
the plan of action:
I have already spoken to parents and students about the need to start a school band and how we are lacking in our classroom technology. I plan on having a meeting with parents to begin a boosters program that can help raise money for the school's music program. I also plan on doing a school fundraiser soon to help raise more funds.
how you can get involved:
Others can help by forming a parent music boosters program at Spoon River Valley. This would help us to create more revenue for instruments, music, contests, and technology.
