why it's important:

CLean Safe Energy Project to Rural people without Electriciy. GMM wants to mount solar panels to some rural homes that do not have electricity. This will help the children to ba able to read safely. They will not bother to buy kerosene or read by the fire that is harmful to their eyes.

the plan of action:

The Goodness and Mercy missions proposes to design and construct a solar electric lighting
system, to be installed in rural area in Africa that is not connected to the national grid. This
stand-alone solar electric system will provide electricity for home lighting, powering of
electrical appliances as well as power for charging existing battery to power the community.
In addition to this, the system will also provide a renewable, people-driven solar information
kiosk.
Our plan is to design a ‘package’ system that can be replicated and installed in many
locations across Africa. We estimate that as because of abundant sunshine in Africa over
85% of the rural areas are suitable locations for a solar electric system. In some cases only
lighting might be needed, in which case the solar panel and other components would be
sized accordingly. The goal is this proposal therefore is to provide a practical and cost
effective use of solar energy that will give the public an opportunity to learn about the
feasibility of utilizing solar energy in rural area, our town and businesses.
Project Participants
Based on existing circumstances and the future possibilities of increased penetration of grid
electricity in the rural areas promotes and provides renewable energy resources to provide
energy services to the rural areas, along with other organizations. The main programme is to
provide Solar Home Systems through micro-credit, donor agencies, government intervention
and Goodness and Mercy missions in rural areas over the Africa.
The project will be implemented after compliance with the different processes and steps
required by the Goodness and Mercy missions, donor agencies, benefitting community and
people. The primary beneficiary groups of the project will be rural households, which will
include users and non-users of television, radio, refrigerator and other household
appliances.
Location of the Project Activity
The project will provide electricity services through installing photovoltaic technology all
over rural especially in African regions. The existing working area of the project participant
will get priority for further intensification of use of solar power.

how you can get involved:

Write a proposal and research potential donors. Work in the field and study ways whereby the project can be implemented.
