Cody's Comfort Kits and Cody's Cuddlers
the problem:
At the age of 5, both my parents were diagnosed with cancer. I watched how the community rallied around our family in support, and want to do the same for all people diagnosed with cancer.

5why it's important:
I make up and deliver Comfort Kits filled with age appropriate toys, books and other fun items for children and adults who find themselves in the hospital. For the children aged 0-18, there will be soothers, cars, craft items, balls, colouring book, pencils, crayons and journals and always a teddy bear! For adults which I called Grandma and Grandpa Kits, there are , bedsocks, handcream, nail scissors, soap, face cloths, personal items and always a teddy bear!
the plan of action:
Since 2002, over 400 kits have been delivered. Since 2003, 90 Grandma and Grandpa Kits have been delivered. Now Cody's Cuddlers have been started and they are bears for terminally ill children and adults, in memory of my dad. Close to 600 bears have been delivered in Canada and the USA. Since April 2006.I also host my own event called Cody's Poor Boy Supper/Auction that raises money for my events. Since 2003, the supper has raised 40,000 dollars for my Comfort Kits and G and G Kits. It also allows me to donate portions of this money to the Kemptville District Hospital Lean On me Program of which 8,000 was donated. Now I am in the USA and will be starting my charity here in Clifton Springs ny in 2010 January!
