Vital Stats

See It

C.A.F.E. is a community space that is being created in downtown Fresno. It is a space dedicated to youth activism and empowerment, available to any activist in Fresno who needs a space for a project, workshop, movie night or lecture. We are making this a safe space for everyone, with an emphasis on addressing sexism, homophopia, classism, speciesism, racism, and ageism in Fresno. The projects currently being worked on are Food Not Bombs, Community Free Grocery, Fresno Needle Exchange, a community garden, a Womyn's night, a self-defense class, and a zine library. We have hosted animal rights and earth rights lectures, indigenous rights events, a mental health group, a consent workshop, drug and alcohol free music events, and transgender day of rememberance. Our future projects include a bike clinic, a free school, expanding our zine library, and more movie nights. This is a completely grassroots project, with almost everyone involved under age 25. Volunteers and donations are always welcome. We are trying to purchase the building and expand our community.
