The Problem

In 2009, our group help a Community Garden Planting Day project for a local community garden. This year we would like to establish a new Community Garden inside the City Limits of our small town. The main goal would be to give families a place to volunteer together while providing fresh produce to families in need.

Plan of Action

Our group would continue to work with the Ionia County Community Food Network (ICCFN)to establish this new garden. We have already recieved a promise from the City of Ionia to donate land for us to use, we also have a promise from the ICCFN to help us with the planning stages and local gardeners to help us with heavy equipment needs. What we need to purchase is seeds and plants, fertilizer, and other basic garden supplies.
