The Problem
In Uganda, Malaria, HIV/AIDS, and other diseases remain a problem, these have contributed to the high infant mortality rate in the country and also to the low life expectancy. Today, there are few afordable health facilities that will provide quality health care to individausl especially the marginalised, disadvantaged and the rural poor, this subjects them to poor health and low standard of living. Our club is partnering with Kitega community centre, an organisation that works in a remote village, were many cases of mental disabilities have been due to untreated malaria, and broken homes as a result of HIV/AIDS.
Plan of Action
Our plan of of action is to raise awareness about this and lead a fundraising that will help us raise funds to construct a health centre. We want to draw as many teams , from medical teams, mission teams to come and support this noble cause, we even welcome those people/teams that can be able to make a trip to Uganda to work on this noble project that will see many lives changed.
The seeting up of the structure will cost USD $ 22,500. With this we shall then be able to solicit for equipment and personel to organise the health centre.
