Plan of Action
CTI is designed to benefit a wide range of individuals but will narrow the target audience for this program to women and adolescent females. Phase 1 of the program will enlist female students from grades 9-14 (which includes two year college girls) to build the computers to gain an understanding of the skills needed to build and repair the devices. Phase1 of the program will also teach students basic computers skills needed to be functional in the business world. Note that the computers used for Phase 1 will immediately be used to perform basic computer training courses for Phase 1 girls from grades K-8. Upon completion of the course, Phase 1 girls will be able to demonstrate a full understanding of the roles and functions of computers and usage for a variety of skills with a strong concentration of A+ certification and Phase 2 girls will be able to demonstrate the basic functions of a computer. We plan to use the $500.00 seed money to help towards the purchase of computer parts that we will need to teach the classes. The CTI course is designed to train 10 students per class that will be held two days per week from 7:00-9:30 PM for 12 weeks. It is CTI’s ultimate goal to ensure that 80% of students enrolled will obtain knowledge and gainful employment the computer technology or related industry.
