The Problem

The Gullah/Geechie culture is an important aspect of our island’s history. The problem is most of our children who are being raised here on the island are not exposed to the roots of their culture.

Plan of Action

We would like to create an African Heritage garden that focuses on plants that were brought to the Low Country from Africa during the slave trade.
