Cultural Canvas Thailand

the problem:

Located in the mountainous city of Chiang Mai, Thailand, Cultural Canvas Thailand is a developing non profit organization . Quietly operating around Chiang Mai, humanitarian organizations work tirelessly to provide services and support to groups of people who are exploited, overlooked and forgotten. Hoping to contribute to these efforts, we connected with organizations that make a difference in the lives of thousands of people, empowering, assisting and educating them.

For all of these organizations, one issue remained constant: the need for service, supplies and international outreach.

For Cultural Canvas Thailand, our mission came into focus: to support local organizations in their humanitarian missions through international volunteer support, collaborative program planning, and funding, while providing volunteers with valuable service-learning experiences.

Thus far, we have connected with: a Burmese migrant school, a school for hill tribe children, an organization that helps HIV/AIDS orphans, and an organization that focuses on the empowerment of women. We hope to be able to offer support to these organizations by February 2008.
