See It

The Darfur crisis has been a popular subject for some time now. You hear about it at school, on TV, and on the internet. When I heard about it, I began researching it and learning more and more. I became very interested, and wanted to do somehting to help. Many people around here in New Orleans like to go to small concerts on the weekedns to see their favorite local bands. Naturally, I decided to put together a fund-raiser concert called Darfur Fest. With help, I got five great and popular bands to play: Angry Banana, Fatter Than Albert, Citizen: Dred, Good Day For An Airstrike, and A Living Soundtrack. They will play at a venue downtown called the Big Top. At the show, we will be taking donations, selling merchandise, and the money for tickets will all go to the Save Darfur Coalition. It will be on May24th of this year and everybody is very excited to go to the show & to help out! The only step left is paying the Big Top the given price in order to use their venue...

it's so funny, because i created an account for the purpose of trying to do a concert for the "Darfur Awareness" club at our school! i was so excited to see this at the top of the site as soon as i logged in. any advice?

thanks!

that's awesome! :D yea, a concert is a great way to raise money & awareness. umm. . .my advice. . .well, for one thing, pick a place where it's safe for an all ages show. you'll probably get more people that way. and just get a couple of people to help you out with it. the more people get involved, the more it will spread.
thanks for commenting. :]
