The Problem

The project I am involved with is called "Dancing for a Difference." Each year, the dance is dedicated to a different charity. The first year, "Dancing for Darfur," we donated our funds towards relief in Darfur during an especially difficult time when the people were at war with their own government. Our funds went to provide food and water, clothes, health care, and education. The second year, "Jammin' for Jude's," we donated our funds to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to aid medical research particularly for children. The third year, "Boogie Down For Bayonnaise Town," we raised funds to build a school house in Bayonnaise, Haiti. The fourth (this) year, "Pump Up The Bass for A Child's Place," we raised funds for local homeless families to provide food, shelter, clothing, and health care.

Plan of Action

We have held dances each year. The money we raise comes from ticket sales and business sponsorship. Over the past for years, we have made a huge impact, raising over $45,000 and providing research, food and water, education, health care, and all kinds of relief to people all around the world.
