The Problem

My project was to organize my entire high school to go out and volunteer at different organizations in our community. Students went to a variety of locations to volunteer at, from the red cross to the humane society to elementary schools to elderly homes. The problem I was trying to solve was getting younger people involved in community service at an early age.

Plan of Action

I started off by getting together a team of teachers who supported me throughout the school year. Next I called 32 organizations and got them to confirm that they would host a group of students for one day. Then I signed up student leaders for each of the 32 organizations. Then the students leaders contacted their organization and figured out what they would be doing. Next I talked to the student body and started signing them up for activities that they were interested in. Then I scheduled the buses and walking routes. Finally I got all the students signed up and they each went onto their different projects.
