Do Something Now Text Challenge

By getting volunteer messages to youths cell phones they will volunteer more on a variety of different needs in the community.

Teens do not always no what to do so the text messages will help inform them.
the plan of action:
The club's purpose is to increase volunteerism by publicizing volunteer opportunities teen to teen using technology and programs from do something.org. The challenge fits in perfectly. Steps we've taken is that we've made flyers, made a presentation to Key club/community service club teacher for permission to promote club and challenge our school. We also had meetings with our do something now club members where we gave them flyers to distribute. We are launching second way for 2009! We connected with Volunteer Loudoun our county's large volunteer coordinating dept to partner with them to publicize text campaign. We have picked two new project leaders to work on this again for 2009.
