Donating to the local animal shelter every month!
the problem:
Give animals the proper things needed to live everyday. In my communtiy many animals are left stranded on the streets or starved to death by their owner. One who journeys to Humphreys County will see animals stranded everyday. Its really sad and not right, the owners or other people should be responsible and take care of these animals that deserve to have a place to live and eat.

100why it's important:
This is very important to me because I love animals and it is very wrong to watch animals starve and be left out. In my project I make sure I do the best to my ability, I donate every month to the local animal shelter to make sure they get food and proper housing to live in. I also go to the shelter to make sure animals are being taking care of and to see if anyone has come to give these pets a good well kept shelter.
the plan of action:
I have made many steps in my project. It first started about 2 years ago when a little dog wondered up to my front door. She needed a home and I could tell she was starving. Being that I already have a dog I could not have this one. But I took some of my dog's ood and let the dog eat and drink. Shortly after I went to the shelter and told them aout the dog coming to my house and not having a place to live. They took in the dog and about a week after the dog found a place on the other side of town. I feel I have made an impact from that day forward on all animals in my community. Each day it feels like more of an award to me when I change an animals life.
how you can get involved:
Others can help by keeping a close eye out. Many animals are left without food or housing. If you could just feed them or pick them up when on the streets and take them to a local shelter then that makes a huge difference.
