The Problem

I am a student at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. The community in that city is borderline poverty. There are many cases of family violence. I worked with the Famly Violence Program of Pitt County and I decided I wanted to do something to help the women and children living in the shelter.

Plan of Action

For the project to be a success, I had to get permission from Family Violence to use their name, I had to find a grocery store to copperate with me, I had to pick a date, and then I had to do it. Iwas bale to convince some of my friends to come satnd outside a grocery store with me for 5 hours. We eneded up collecting $50.00 cash, which i used to make more purchases, and then at least a $100.00 worth of supplies. It was a big success.
