In short, hunger in my hometown. The charity we benefit is the Rabun Christian Food Ministry, and they are basically a food bank. However, what makes them different is they deliver the food, which gives the volunteers a chance to really get to know the people who need help. Also, the volunteers keep an eye and an ear out when they deliver, just in case the recipients need more than just food, such as clothes, blankets, firewood, etc. In one case, one recipient was in a wheelchair, but did not have a ramp on their porch for easy access to their own house, so we built one for them at no cost.
