This project in intended to encourage middle and high youth between the ages of 12-18 to stay in school and also to encourage older/younger youth who have dropped out of school to work towards achieving their GED. PS Youth Outreach Center currently provides a computer lab to youth, accessible to older (18-21 year old)youth between the hours of 9:30am - 2:00pm and 3:30pm- 5:30pm to younger (12-17 year old)youth. Youth are provided with free tutoring services by qualified volunteers and staff. Eligibility of younger youth participant is based on recent report card, GPA, and parental/guardian's permission. Eligility of older youth will be based on drop-out status. Youth will be assisted with GED preparation and/or referred to a testing facility to further prepare for and take GED test.
