The Problem

We are trying to improve the water resource use in Nkokonjeru, Uganda. Currently, the wait time to collect water from spring boxes can be several hours. Once people collect their water, they must take several hours to boil it as well to prevent disease. We are trying to expedite this process in any way possible.

Plan of Action

We plan to build a tank slightly downhill and possibly underground that is fed by the spring boxes that are in place now. This tank will have several faucets that can be operated by a pump so that there will be a larger volume of water available to several people at a time.
