The Problem

We are trying to solve poverty in our community by going out and fixing the houses of less-fortunate people. By building this garage for Project R.A.K.E. they are able to accept more donations and help more people than ever before. The most recent Project R.A.K.E. work weekend that they held encompassed 90 people going out into the community and serving others.

Plan of Action

First I had to plan out the project in writing and secure donations for it. There were many companies that were more than generous in giving materials. After that we started building. Another Eagle Scout did the concrete slab and the grading of the ground. After this was completed I started my work and erected the building. A third Eagle Scout later came and finished everything up. The final step was to put the building to work and use it to help others. It now houses thousands of dollars worth of donated materials and appliances, with room for more.
