The Problem

I'm trying to stop/slow the use of jewelry made of plastics. All of my jewelry is handcrafted in Thailand and made of natural products. I order from an eco-friendly wholesaler. For every tree cut down to make jewelry, they plant 2 trees to replace it. They donate money to build schools in Thailand as well. I decided to purchase from them because of all of the good works they do. I am implementing a similar program. For every item of jewelry purcahsed, I will put $1 aside to purchase trees. With all of the tree money, I will plant trees on Earth Day.

Plan of Action

My project has been rolling since September 2009. Originally, I started this project on facebook. Within a few weeks, stores on my college campus wanted inventory. I have jewelry in three stores here in Iowa City. There is a fourth store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that wants inventory as well.
