The Problem

I wanted to help revamp the education process in Liberia after a 14-year civil war. I considered it an important way to bring the country back up.

Plan of Action

I put together a curriculum for teaching students of all ages in Liberia. I raised grant money to fund the trip. I taught at two orphanages, did service work there, and stayed over night. Then I wrote a report on the status of Education in Liberia. A Christian organization, among others, is using this report to produce a sustainable plan for the two orphanages and implement it. If successful, they hope to produce a model for all Liberian youth, whose coming of age is currently rocky with few success routes.
